How this pair works
Your Plain text file is parsed into a canonical screenplay model (by verified content, not just the file extension), then rendered as Final Draft FDX. Final Draft FDX background: Introduced with Final Draft 8, FDX replaced the binary .fdw format so scripts could move between Final Draft and other tools as structured XML.
